About OIST Internship

On the basis of competition, research internships are awarded twice a year. The choice is highly competitive and depends on the applicability of the anticipated research, academic background, available funding and space.

The OIST Graduate School provides educational and research opportunities through our research intern program. The internship period is generally 2-6 months. These short-term internships provide students with the opportunity to gain experience in a specific laboratory or learn a specific technology. The interns will work under the guidance of a professor and contribute to the research activities of OIST.

Currently enrolled students need to obtains an approval letters from their institutes
Students’ academic Backgrounds must match with the host unit according to OIST requirements
Recent graduates are also encouraged to apply as well
OIST internships are highly competitive and only granted to excellent international students who is in the final 2 years of education
